By the end of the 2007-2008 season, the Symphony’s programs touched the lives of approximately 20,000 Hawaii youth and their families through more than 190 programs in schools on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island of Hawaii, in addition to performing eight Youth concerts in venues across Oahu. These specially-crafted offerings include:

• Youth Concerts: Where full orchestra performances for students (PK - 6) present basic music concepts in a fun way.
• Carnegie Hall’s LinkUP!: Interactive concert creates an exciting, hands-on concert experience where students actually perform with the Honolulu Symphony.
• In-School Ensembles: Where students meet and hear Honolulu Symphony musicians up close in the familiar atmosphere of their own school.
• Symphony Mentor Program: Where Honolulu Symphony master teachers coach and play alongside students.
• Professional Development for Teachers: Designed to help teachers help their students gain the fullest benefit from the Honolulu Symphony experience.
