Honolulu Symphony Launches Two New Audience Development Programs

Trio Subscriptions attract new subscribers; $10 group tickets offer community economical option

Honolulu – The Honolulu Symphony (www.honolulusymphony.com) today announced the launch of two new audience development programs: affordable Trio Subscriptions that combine premium seating with discounts of up to 33% off the cost of single tickets, and an innovative group sales program featuring low-cost $10 concert tickets and tailored to the needs of community organizations such as schools and seniors residences. Both programs make it possible for more community members to enrich their lives by attending a Symphony concert together. The programs also enable the Symphony to share the educational benefits of the music-making experience with a broader audience.

TRIO SUBSCRIPTIONS

Halekūlani MasterWorks Trio Subscriptions are only $99 and Toyota Pops Trio Subscriptions are only $129 and feature premium seating in the very best sections. Trio Subscriptions offer a 33% discount off the cost of single tickets and are an excellent fit for budget-savvy Symphony supporters.

Classical music lovers can choose from four Trio packages, including the holiday all-Strauss experience, famous opera arias with the legendary Sumi Jo, an evening of the world’s greatest piano concertos, Wagner’s “Ring” Without Words, Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, the delights of guitar virtuoso Sharon Isbin, and Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. Pops fans have the option of two Trio packages featuring artists such as pop icon Peter Cetera and his chart-topping ballads such as “Glory of Love” and “You’re the Inspiration,” as well as irresistible evenings with jazz saxophonist Dave Koz, Hawaiian music innovator Willie K, and Latin music legend Poncho Sanchez.

GROUP SALES PROGRAM

Designed to meet the needs of budget-conscious community organizations such as schools, the new group sales program offers premium seating and the discounted flat rate of only $10 per ticket for groups of 10 or more. The program streamlines the event planning process for groups because it guarantees one low price and simplifies the administrative process for the group organizer. It is a perfect fit for organizations and clubs, including seniors and retirement residences, schools, religious organizations, alumni associations, family reunions, and military and veterans.

All group tickets, regardless of seating section, are only $10 each: a potential savings of up to 60 percent off the cost of single tickets. Regularly priced Halekulani MasterWorks single tickets are priced from $19 to $70 and Toyota Pops single tickets are priced from $20 to $82.

Tickets for the inaugural Honolulu Symphony Beethoven Festival, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and Diana Krall with the Toyota Pops are not included in the group sales program: these concerts are only available to Symphony subscribers.

The Symphony encourages music lovers to take advantage of the greatest savings and premium seating options by becoming subscribers. For more information, please contact the Symphony Box Office at (808) 792-2000 or boxofficemngr@honolulusymphony.com.
