HONOLULU – The Honolulu Symphony today announced the exhilarating new 2009-2010 Toyota Pops season with Maestro Matt Catingub, the phenomenal Pops Orchestra and an array of contemporary music stars. For the 2009-2010 season, new subscribers can take advantage of a value pricing plan to receive 50% off their purchase of season tickets, bringing the price to as low as $63 for all seven concerts. This unique savings deal is designed for both occasional concertgoers and newcomers to Hawaii who have not yet enjoyed a full season of Toyota Pops musical magic.
The exhilarating new 2009-2010 season features “Rhinestone Cowboy” Glen Campbell in a special holiday show, Broadway legend Ben Vereen, Mary Wilson of The Supremes, Kaumakaiwa Kanaka 'ole and slack key guitar masters, Jimmy Borges singing the music of Sinatra, a celebration of The Beatles’ Abbey Road, and the debut of singing sensation Melody Gardot.

Toyota Pops season tickets are on sale now and start from $126 for the full series of seven concerts. Season tickets offer savings of up to 30% off regular ticket prices, as well as flexible exchanges, invitations to exclusive backstage events and priority seating. In 2009-2010, the full balcony will also be open for season ticket sales.

Known to fans as “the keeper of the flame,” Jimmy Borges returns with an evening spotlighting the unforgettable music of Frank Sinatra and stars of the Hawaiian music scene. Don’t miss this concert featuring the world’s most beloved Sinatra songs, sung by the only man ever allowed complete access to Sinatra’s legendary musical arrangements.
