Honolulu – The one‐and‐only Diana Krall will soon return to Honolulu to give fans a sneak peek into her upcoming new CD, “Quiet Nights,” at two eagerly awaited concerts with the Honolulu Symphony Toyota Pops. Krall, who ranks among the most popular guest artists in Toyota Pops history, will join Maestro Matt Catingub to preview a selection of new songs inspired by Brazilian musical culture on two very special evenings, Thursday, March 19 at 8 p.m. and Friday, March 20 at 8 p.m. at the Blaisdell Concert Hall. “Quiet Nights” will be released on March 31, 2009.
At her Toyota Pops concerts, Krall will also charm audiences with many of her all‐time greatest hits, all blended perfectly with the luscious and lively sounds of the Pops orchestra. Krall has been a long‐time favorite of Honolulu audiences and is admired for her unique style and irresistibly smooth vocals. Compelling as both a pianist and a vocalist, she possesses an extraordinary talent for creating music that speaks personally to every individual who hears her perform.
With the concerts just a few weeks away, tickets for Diana Krall with the Honolulu Symphony Toyota Pops are selling fast. Seating is limited in sections C, D and E, and Toyota Pops fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early. Prices start from $45.
